When your organization partners with WAYR, your support provides community leaders with the training, sporting equipment, and resources they need to bring people together. Together, we can create more spaces for connection and joy across Utah.
Here’s how your partnership supports our mission:
- Provide sporting equipment and gear that community leaders can use to bring people together.
- Sponsor leadership training and resources for leaders creating spaces for connection and joy.
- Sponsor our annual World Refugee Day celebration on June 19.
- Support signature events and on-site activations with opportunities to showcase your organization.
- Help provide free community experiences so cost is not a barrier to participation.
- Fund and equip community-led programs that bring WAYR directly to people where they are.
World Refugee Day
World Refugee Day is our annual celebration of movement, culture, and community. On June 19, we bring refugees, the diaspora, and the broader Utah community together to connect and experience joy. Our event creates a space where people can move together, meet someone new, and celebrate the cultures that make our community stronger.
In 2026, 53 people joined us for a 5K, with refugees participating at no cost. The celebration also included yoga, food, music, and time to connect. World Refugee Day represents what WAYR is about: creating simple opportunities for people to show up, connect, and experience joy together.
